You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Teresa Rhodes at Nearly Nesters on Natalie’s Blog Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you make sure to see and learn from all of the articles featured here today.
Spring is the perfect season to get married as nature itself is preparing for a new start. Spring also offers plenty of fantastic ideas for weddings, especially when it comes to creating a signature cocktail for your big day.
Spring weddings should be all about bright colors and fresh tastes – and these are highlighted by these amazing signature wedding cocktail ideas we’ve picked for Hudson Valley brides and grooms.
1. Lavender Lemonade
Lavender is the perfect spring wedding accessory. You can use it to create touching decorations and floral displays, but it also adds a unique and beautiful taste to drinks.
This lavender lemonade has both the freshness and the bright spring-look. It’s also amazingly simple to make and you can use it as a welcome drink – or add a pitcher to each wedding table for guests to enjoy! Furthermore, you can make the cocktail with or without alcohol, ensuring you can have an alcoholic and non-alcoholic option of the same cocktail!
The recipe only uses granulated sugar, water, dried lavender buds, lemon juice and the optional splash of vodka. You can find the detailed instructions at Lover.ly.
2. Strawberry Basil Margarita
If you are getting married later during the spring season, then strawberries are a must-have for your wedding reception. The freshness of new strawberries just oozes spring and love – not to mention the beauty of the bright red color.
Strawberry and basil are a quirky combination that’ll add the right amount of kick to your reception. The margaritas are perfect for a laidback wedding reception and this classic cocktail is a good fit for spring weddings with a vintage theme.
There are many great strawberry basil margarita recipes out there, but this simple cocktail recipe at Kitchn has to be among our favorites. Once again, if you are looking for a signature wedding cocktail that offers both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options then this recipe can easily be changed to create both.
3. Pink Elephant
Soft pink is a great seasonal wedding color, especially popular in spring weddings. If you want to add a blush of pink to your wedding reception, then the Pink Elephant signature drink from the Martha Stewart website is a fantastic option.
The cocktail combines the fresh spring tastes of fresh lime juice and lemonade. You’ll then add the lovely soft shade of pink by adding some grapefruit juice and cranberry juice. A touch of vodka for the alcoholic version and you have a fantastic signature wedding cocktail.
The secret of this recipe is also the fact that you can mix it well in advance. In fact, by leaving it to set for a few days, you’ll enhance the taste!
4. Kiwi Mango Mint Cocktail
Finally, for the ultimate refreshment you must try this Kiwi Mango Mint cocktail recipe from Drink of the Week. It is the perfect spring signature drink because it adds plenty of refreshing kick to your wedding reception and it also has the bright spring look. The bright mango yellow color is mixed with the bright green of the kiwis and the mint, creating a great combination of colors.
You’ll be able to make this cocktail non-alcoholic by swapping the Kiwi vodka with some Kiwi juice, for instance. You can also play with the garnish or just leave the drink sit on tall cocktail glasses without any gimmicks.
I hope these ideas help you get more excited about your upcoming spring wedding! And if you’d like the rest of our planning tips, simply complete the form at the bottom of this post and we’ll email it to you!

Yum, I need all of these right now… well it is only 10 am… so not this early but yes. Great blog, great drinks. Great job.
Tasty ideas. I’d love to give the Lavender Lemonade and Pink Elephant a try.
All these drinks sound wonderful! I love the idea of implementing them into a wedding, as a welcome drink! How fun!
Looks like some great cocktails. I wonder if you could edit the post to give the full recipe with proportions in case someone wanted to try.
(BTW, I think you want to edit the HTML from the hop. The part that says, “<<<YOU ARE HERE!!" was probably intended to be removed.)
Thank you for sharing non-boring mixes! I am going to have to try the pink elephant drink.
These are some yummy drink ideas. I also love the bright colors which makes me think of spring!
All look yummy and might even match some bride’s wedding colors!
