Hudson Valley Weddings – 5 Creative Table Number Ideas That Won’t Cost a Fortune

Hudson Valley Weddings – 5 Creative Table Number Ideas That Won’t Cost a Fortune

There are a number of central elements to organizing wedding receptions. You want to pay attention to your reception’s décor, as you want it to be functional as well as pretty. Table numbers don’t often get the attention they deserve and they can end up being a little bit boring. The other problem is that you also don’t want to spend a fortune on something as small a detail as table numbers. So to solve this dilemma, we decided to provide you with creative yet affordable table number ideas.

(1)Large Balloons

One cute idea is to purchase balloon numbers and use them as the table number. Naturally, you might have reservations on how elegant large balloons can be, but no need to worry. If you get golden or silver balloons you can have a lot of elegance and fun in your décor.

Balloon table numbers are very functional as well. As they hover up in the air, guests can immediately spot the table numbers and finding one’s own spot isn’t as difficult anymore.

(2)Vintage Mirrors

Small vintage table mirrors can also be a creative and cute way to create table numbers. Browse through a few second-hand stores and get yourself stuck in finding them in the attic. It doesn’t matter if all the mirror frames are different. In fact, this is what makes it such a cute idea.

Just clean the mirrors well and draw the table number on the mirror with a marker suitable for glass surfaces. You can develop the idea further and have small pocket mirrors as the escort cards. This could also work as your guests’ wedding favors!

(3)Chalkboard Pots

Flower table arrangements are always a good idea for reception tables. You can kill two birds with one stone by using your flower arrangements as the table number all at the same time.

All you need is a few chalkboard pots. You can find these online, but it’s also possible to just buy chalkboard paint and make your own flowerpots. Furthermore, you’ll just need someone with a clear handwriting to help draw the numbers.

(4)Vintage Plates

Another great idea for vintage- or bohemian-themed weddings would be vintage plates. Again, you don’t need to have similar plates as long as there is some sort of similarity to all the plates.

Use a marker in your theme color, and write down the table number onto the plate. This is a pretty way to decorate your tables and you can keep all the plates as a memory of the event.

(5)Old Jars

Finally, you could also utilize old glass jars and use them to create table numbers. All you need to do is paint the tables number onto the jar, write the number on a tag & hang it or write the number on the lid & hang the lid around the mouth of the jar. Depending on the size of the jar, you can place a tea candle inside the jar or even use the jar as a candleholder. This is a cute and affordable way to add glamour to your wedding reception.
