Hudson Valley Weddings – 5 of the Best Wedding Exit Toss Ideas

Hudson Valley Weddings – 5 of the Best Wedding Exit Toss Ideas

Planning your perfect Hudson Valley wedding isn’t easy. There are plenty of things to think about and you should focus on the small details to create a fun-filled wedding day. Previously, we’ve talked about the best ways to make the grand exit from your wedding ceremony. But today we wanted to introduce you to five of the best wedding exit toss ideas. When you walk down the aisle as newlyweds, there is a lot more that your guests can do than just toss rice at you! Check out these fun and sweet ideas.

1. Bubbles

Perhaps one of the most popular alternatives for the usual rice and flower petals is blowing  bubbles. This is a lovely clean way to celebrate the two of you. You can provide your guests with a small bottle of bubbles that they can then use to blow as you walk down the aisle or out of the venue.

You can find bubbles in the supermarket or party outlet or you can just create the bottle yourself. This gives you a nice opportunity for personalizing the bottle as well.

2. Sparklers and Lanterns

If you are getting married as the sun is setting in Hudson Valley, you should definitely consider using sparklers and lanterns. You could either have the guest light up sparklers as you make your way from the ceremony and in the end you two could release big lanterns in the night sky.

Alternatively, you could have both sparklers and little lanterns that the guests release as you walk down the aisle. This could be a lovely idea and it will definitely provide some magical photos. As with either or these ideas – make sure you check with your Hudson Valley venue to see if they allow either of these on site. One of the lovely Hudson  Valley rustic venues that does a colored lantern send-off is the Lippincott Manor – please check out my blog about their bridal tasting to see actual photos of the lantern send-off: Lippincott Manor Bridal Tasting

3. A Homemade Ribbon and Bell Wand

Another quirky idea is to make your own wands that the guests will wave above you two as you walk down the aisle. You can just attach some colorful ribbons and a small bell onto the wand. The ribbons will wave around in a lovely way and the bells will make a lovely noise.

The good thing about this idea is also the fact that you don’t need to clean it up afterwards. You can also either collect the wands back or just let your guests have their own wand as a memory of your wedding.

4. Personalized Message Flags

You could also provide the guests with a small flag and a pen as they enter the ceremony and take their seats. You can ask them to write a little message to you two onto the flag. For instance, the advice they’d like to give you or the best date ideas. Then as you walk down the aisle people can just wave at these message flags above you.

In the end, someone would collect all the flags and you two would get to read them after the wedding. This is a beautiful and fun alternative to a usual exit toss.

5. Seeds

If you want to take care of the local wildlife, then you could use various seeds  for your wedding exit toss. This is a creative and more nature-friendly idea.

You can gather a small handful of seeds into a small paper cone or burlap bag. Naturally, you can pick edible seeds like sunflower & pumpkin, so if your guests get hungry during the ceremony they have something to snack!
