Chocolate is a heavenly treat fit for your wedding day. A chocolate treat tastes like love and nothing says ‘I Love You’ better than a bit of chocolate. But how should you add chocolate to your wedding day?

Here are 9 different and unique ways you can sweeten your Hudson Valley wedding with chocolate!

1. Save the Date Chocolate Coin

If you are sending Save the Date-cards before the actual wedding invite, then you can add a lovely twist to the traditional card with a chocolate coin. You can get simple chocolate coins made with the wedding date on them! This is a fun idea that’ll definitely brighten your guests’ day.

2. Chocolate Shot

Although champagne is a traditional welcome drink to enjoy at the start of your wedding reception, you could try something else instead. If you are mad about chocolate, then a chocolate shot can be a great idea. Serve either a tiny portion of hot chocolate and brandy in little shot glasses or opt for a colder drink, such as Baileys.

3. Chocolate Table Numbers

Chocolate can be part of your decorations as well! You can get chocolate number molds and create your table numbers from chocolate. Just match with smaller chocolate escort cards and your wedding reception has a sweet start to it.

4. Savory Chocolate Treats

Although we are more used to enjoying chocolate as a sweet treat, you can add plenty of depth to savory dishes with chocolate. Your starter could be a small Chinese spoon filled with White Chocolate Baba Ghannouj or you could surprise guests with cocoa rubbed barbecue ribs.

5. Chocolate Bar

Food bars are a trendy option for your Hudson Valley wedding and a chocolate food bar is a must-have. You can have different types of chocolate candies, cookies and chocolate sauces to go with ice cream or pancakes, for example. Use your imagination and make the chocolate bar the center of your wedding.

6. Chocolate Wedding Cake

Nothing compliments your love of chocolates better than a chocolate wedding cake. It’s now a trendy cake choice to make and you have plenty of opportunities. Chocolate mousse cakes are especially trendy, together with chocolate cupcake cake towers.

7. Chocolate Cocktails

Towards the end of your reception, you could also serve some chocolate cocktails to your guests. There’s so much choice available that your guests are sure to love this quirky idea. Either set up a cocktail bar or have waitress serve a cocktail to the tables.

8. Chocolate Sculptures

Chocolate sculptures are a great decorative element that you can use in a variety of ways. You could add little chocolate swans into your tables as decorations or have chocolate figurines of you and your partner in the gift table.

9. Hot Chocolate-Making Kit

Finally, if you are looking for a fun and unique wedding favor, then a hot-chocolate-making kit is a wonderful idea. The kit is great for young and old guests.

Chocolate is definitely a treat to add to your special day and as the above ideas show, there’s so many different ways to use it.
